Fresh focus and expanded board!

CADA embarks on a new chapter with fresh focus and expanded board

Six years after its foundation, the Chemnitz Automated Driving Alliance (CADA) is opening a new chapter. With a clear strategic realignment and Alexander Kovalenko, CEO of Staff-eye, joining the board, the network is evolving into an international technology alliance, driver, and enabler of innovation – with an impact reaching far beyond the region.

New impulses through Alexander Kovalenko

With Staff-eye, an innovative partner has long been part of CADA – now CEO Alexander Kovalenko is also taking on a leadership role in the board. He brings fresh momentum and a visionary perspective that goes beyond the core topic of automated driving:

“Our goal is to show that Saxony is the place where concepts are turned into market-ready applications,” emphasizes Alexander Kovalenko. "By pooling our expertise, we are creating a platform for international cooperation and genuine value creation. The new strategic approach, with its clear membership model and strong partners, strengthens CADA in its role as a key player in the development of autonomous mobility in Saxony. The focus is on implementation rather than discussion, on local support combined with global networking, and on experiences that make autonomous driving tangible for everyone. In this way, CADA is not only becoming an established recruitment platform, but above all a practical platform on which future technologies are tested – from autonomous shuttles and automated logistics solutions to drone test fields."

His focus: pushing technology development forward and positioning CADA more strongly on the international stage.

Proud of the journey – ready for the next step

For the founding members, this step marks an important milestone as well. Karsten Schulze, CADA co-founder and CEO of FDTech, looks back on the past six years and gives a glimpse into the future:

“I am very proud of what we have built over the past six years – a vibrant network that stands both for regional innovation and for supra-regional impact. With Alexander Kovalenko, we are now taking this success story to an international level and setting new, deliberate impulses. This realignment is a milestone for the region of Saxony – we are well on our way to actively shaping the mobility of the future and further developing our platform into a central hub for technology and implementation.”

CADA as a driver for the region – and beyond

With the new strategic setup, CADA is broadening its scope:

  • Building partnerships nationally and internationally
  • Pooling technology providers on a shared platform
  • Strengthening education and training in business and science

This takes CADA beyond the role of a regional innovation cluster. The alliance is becoming an active shaper of the mobility of tomorrow – with impact radiating from the region out into the world.
